500-piso Papal Visit 2015

Pope Francis’ visit to the Philippines from 15-19 January 2015 was the third pontiff visit in the country. The Filipinos welcomed this visit with the largest papal crowd recorded in history. In unity with the nation, the BSP minted the 500-piso papal coin to commemorate the special event. The coin is Nordic gold and comes in brown varnished box with a small description label.
